Hospital Beds for Peoria, Arizona

Peoria is a place for active years: spring training in March, weekends at Lake Pleasant, pickleball before the heat sets in. So when a body starts to slow down, a stiff, fixed-height bed can feel like the first thing standing in the way.

Electropedic's hi-low beds raise, lower and reposition at a touch while looking like fine bedroom furniture, and our handmade Latexpedic latex mattresses are built to move with them. Both are delivered and set up from our Phoenix showroom.

Peoria, Arizona, in the northwest Valley.

Supernal 3 Hi-Low

For the move to a single-story home, and the years after it

The situation

You have downsized into a single-story home in one of Peoria's active-adult communities, and the new bedroom deserves a new bed. Right now you need an ordinary, beautiful one.

What it costs you

Buy a standard bed today and you may be shopping again in a few years, this time in a hurry, after a surgery or a fall, with little say in how the room ends up looking.

What changes

The Supernal 3 looks like an upholstered bed from day one, with every motor hidden. Use the head and foot adjustment for reading tonight. When the time comes, its hi-low height and an optional support rail that moves with the bed are already there, and the wall-hugging design keeps the nightstand within reach.

Flexabed Hi-Low SL

For active days and sore knees at night

The situation

You still play, hike and travel, but your knees keep score. By evening, climbing into a tall bed takes a little hop, and getting out of it the next morning takes a moment of planning.

What it costs you

Those hops and lurches add strain to the very joints you are trying to keep going, and a stumble in the dark can sideline you for a season.

What changes

The Hi-Low SL lifts and lowers straight up and down at one button, so you can set the exact height where your feet sit flat and your knees stay comfortable. Raise your legs after a long day, keep your own settings on your side of a split model, and add motion-sensing underbed lights for night-time trips. Each bed is hand-built to your specifications.

Ascend High-Low Adjustable Bed with Tilt

For evenings spent reading or watching the game in bed

The situation

Your favorite part of the evening is a book or a ballgame in bed, propped up on a pile of pillows that never quite stays where you put it.

What it costs you

An hour with your chin pushed toward your chest leaves a stiff neck and tight shoulders, and they are still there when you finally lie down to sleep.

What changes

The Ascend raises the head and foot into a supported lounge position and saves it on one of three programmable presets. When you are ready to sleep, double-click to flat, or tilt the whole bed up to 7 degrees for a gentle, even incline. About 7 inches of hi-low travel and underbed lighting make getting up easier too.

Supernal 5 Adjustable Bed System

For nights when lying flat makes it harder to breathe

The situation

A lung or heart condition means your doctor wants your upper body raised at night, but raising only the head of the bed folds you at the waist.

What it costs you

You slide down, bunch up and wake every couple of hours to rearrange yourself, so the rest your body most needs keeps slipping away.

What changes

Reverse Trendelenburg tilts the entire Supernal 5 so you lie on a straight, supported incline, head above feet, with no fold at the hips. Trendelenburg, hi-low height, head and foot articulation and zero gravity are all there too, inside an upholstered frame that looks like bedroom furniture. Use these positions as your physician directs.

Tuffcare Century T7036 fully electric long term care bed with five-function pendant control
Tuffcare Century T7036. The T7042 is 42 inches wide.

Tuffcare Century

Long Term Care Bed T7036 and T7042

For caring for someone with memory loss at home

The situation

Mom has moved in after memory changes made living alone unsafe. Days have routines; nights are less predictable, and every task, from dressing to changing sheets, happens at the bedside.

What it costs you

A regular bed is the wrong height for nearly all of it. You bend and lift dozens of times a day, and before long the caregiver needs care too.

What changes

Tuffcare designed the T7036 and T7042 for residents living with Alzheimer's and other conditions that limit independence. Lower the bed when she rests, raise it to your working height when you help her, all from one five-function pendant. Nine inches of clearance under the frame simplifies cleaning, eight locking casters keep it steady, and a backup battery runs the bed for up to 7 minutes in an outage. Ask her care team about whether rails are right for her.

Dawn House Living

The Dawn House Bed

For the caregiver who sleeps with one ear open

The situation

Your husband is recovering, and you have not had a full night's sleep since. Every creak sends you down the hall to check on him.

What it costs you

Weeks of broken sleep wear down the person everyone is depending on. Exhausted caregivers make mistakes, and they get sick too.

What changes

Sensors built into the Dawn House base passively track his heart rate, breathing, movement and sleep, and report it through an app you can check from your own bed. Motion-activated underbed lighting lights his way when he gets up, hi-low height steadies his transfers, and an optional support rail gives him something to hold. You both get more rest.

Latexpedic Natural Latex Mattresses

A hi-low bed changes position all day long. Its mattress has to follow along without sagging, bunching or wearing out, and it has to feel right to you.

Stuck with a mattress that feels wrong?

Most of us have done it: tested a mattress for two minutes in a store, brought it home, and realized after a week that it is too soft or too hard. With most mattresses, that mistake is permanent, and you sleep on it for years.

Latexpedic is built so that never has to happen. You try every firmness in our showroom first. Then, because every mattress has a zippered cover, the latex inside can be changed to a different firmness later, whether you chose wrong or your needs simply changed after a surgery or a new diagnosis.

  • Factory directElectropedic makes, sells, delivers and guarantees each mattress, with no middleman in between.
  • Handmade, one at a timeEvery mattress is crafted individually by hand in our family's factory.
  • Fully reversibleLatex from top to bottom, so it can be flipped for even wear.
  • Quilted on both sidesNatural cotton and wool on each face, equally comfortable either way up.
  • Handles and a zipperHandles to turn it, and a zippered cover so firmness can be changed.
  • 20-year limited warrantyBacked by the family that has built beds since 1964.

Hospital Beds for Peoria, Arizona

What we have learned delivering to the northwest Valley, and the questions Peoria families ask us first.

Active-adult communities

Westbrook Village, Trilogy at Vistancia and the neighboring Sun City and Sun City West are full of people who plan ahead. Many of our Peoria customers buy a furniture-style hi-low bed while they are healthy, enjoy it as an everyday adjustable bed, and know its hospital features are ready if they ever need them.

Two-story homes and the downstairs den

Many family homes in Fletcher Heights and the newer northern neighborhoods put every bedroom upstairs. When stairs become a problem, a ground-floor den or office often becomes the new bedroom. Send us its measurements and the doorways on the way in, and we will recommend a bed that fits the space.

After a stay at a northwest Valley hospital

Peoria families often call us after a stay at Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City or Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West, when a discharge planner recommends a hospital bed. Call as soon as you have a date and we will arrange delivery and set-up so the bed is ready at home.
