Hospital Beds for Scottsdale Homes

You chose every finish in your bedroom with care. Then a surgery, a diagnosis or simply the years make the bed hard to get in and out of, and the usual answer is a clinical frame that undoes the whole room. It does not have to be. Electropedic's hi-low beds are designed to look like fine furniture, and our handmade Latexpedic latex mattresses are built to match.

Scottsdale, Arizona. Electropedic Phoenix delivers and sets up beds from Old Town to North Scottsdale.

The Dawn House Bed

When stiff or shaky hands make small buttons hard

The difficulty

Arthritis in the hands or a tremor turns a crowded remote into a puzzle in the dark. Press the wrong button and the bed moves the wrong way.

Where it leads

Soon the adjustable features go unused, and you are back to sleeping flat and struggling up, exactly what the bed was meant to fix.

The answer

Just ask. Dawn House responds to voice commands, an app and a remote, so you choose the way that works for your hands. Hi-low height, zero gravity, an automatic anti-snore lift, Rise to Wake, motion-activated underbed lighting and passive sleep and health sensors come in an upholstered frame that looks at home in any primary suite.

  • Insight Passive health sensors

Ascend High-Low Adjustable Bed with Tilt

When you love your bedroom set and want to keep it

The difficulty

You need a bed that lifts, lowers and adjusts, but your headboard and bedroom furniture were chosen to go together, and you are not ready to start over.

Where it leads

So you put off the change, and every night you keep climbing in and out of a bed that no longer suits your body.

The answer

The Ascend is a hi-low adjustable base that takes a standard mattress, and Ergomotion offers headboard brackets so your favorite headboard can stay. Underneath: about 7 inches of hi-low lift, a full-bed tilt of up to 7 degrees, head and foot articulation, zero gravity, three programmable presets and underbed lighting. Ask us whether your headboard is compatible.

  • Tilt Full bed, up to 7 degrees
  • Height About 17.9 to 25.4 in.
  • Sizes Twin XL, Full, Queen, Split King

Supernal 3 Hi-Low

When your parents come to stay for the winter

The difficulty

Mom and Dad spend the season in your guest suite, and this year the tall guest bed is a struggle for both of them.

Where it leads

You worry every night, and a clinical bed would turn the guest suite into a sickroom for the rest of the year.

The answer

The Supernal 3 lowers close to the floor for safe sitting and rises for easy standing, with head and foot adjustment and an optional rail that moves with the bed. When your parents fly home, it is simply a handsome upholstered guest bed again, motors hidden. Dual King keeps them side by side.

  • Motion Hi-low, head, foot
  • Design Hidden motors, wall-hugging
  • Sizes Twin XL, Full XL, Queen, Dual King

When skilled care is coming to your home

The difficulty

Nurses and therapists now visit several times a week. They need a bed they can raise, tilt and position. Your family still needs a home.

Where it leads

An institutional bed goes in the middle of the house, the grandchildren stop wanting to visit, and the home starts to feel like a facility.

The answer

The Supernal 5 gives the care team Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg, hi-low working height and head and foot articulation, plus zero gravity for comfort, all inside upholstery that looks like it came from a furniture showroom. Positions should be used as the care team directs.

  • Clinical Trendelenburg and reverse
  • Motion Hi-low, head, foot, tilt
  • Sizes Twin XL, Full XL, Queen, Dual King

Flexabed Hi-Low SL

When a one-size-fits-all bed will not do

The difficulty

Most hospital-style beds come exactly one way. Your size, your partner's needs and the options you want are an afterthought.

Where it leads

You pay for features you will never use and still lack the ones you need, and the bed never quite feels like yours.

The answer

Flexabed hand-builds every Hi-Low SL to order in LaFayette, Georgia, as it has since 1969. Choose the size, split configurations with independent head and foot on each side, padded rail covers, motion-sensing underbed lights, app and voice control. Long Term Care Bed T7036 and T7042

When a standard bed feels too narrow and not quite solid

The difficulty

For a larger or taller sleeper, an ordinary adjustable bed creaks, flexes and leaves little room to turn over safely.

Where it leads

Every reposition feels precarious, sleep is shallow, and getting up becomes something you dread.

The answer

Tuffcare builds the T7036 and T7042 from welded steel with a reinforced frame. The T7036 is rated to 600 pounds, and the T7042 adds six more inches of width. Synchronized DC motors keep the deck level, one five-function pendant reaches every position including Trendelenburg, and a backup battery runs it up to 7 minutes in an outage.

  • T7036 36 x 80 in., to 600 lb.
  • T7042 42 x 80 in.
  • Frame Welded, reinforced steel

Latexpedic, Made by Hand and Sold Factory Direct

A beautiful bed deserves a mattress built with the same care, and priced for the mattress rather than the showroom markup.

Paying for the label, not the mattress

At the luxury end of the market, much of a mattress's price pays for the brand, the advertising and the retailer in between. Inside, many are still glued foam that softens and sags within a few years, and few are built to bend with an adjustable bed at all.

Latexpedic takes the opposite approach. Our family makes each mattress by hand in our own factory from natural latex, cotton and wool, and sells it directly to you. You pay for craftsmanship, not markups, and you get a mattress designed for the hi-low bed beneath it.

  • Factory directMade, sold, delivered and guaranteed by Electropedic, with no middleman.
  • Handmade, one at a timeEvery mattress is built individually by hand.
  • Fully reversibleLatex from top to bottom, so it can be flipped.
  • Quilted on both sidesCotton and wool on each face.
  • Handles and a zipperEasy to turn; the firmness can be changed later.
  • 20-year limited warrantyFrom a family in the bed business since 1964.

Serving Scottsdale

What we have learned delivering across Scottsdale, and the questions customers here ask most.

A straight shot down Camelback

Our Phoenix showroom is about 9 miles west of Old Town Scottsdale on Camelback Road, so a visit fits easily between appointments. From McCormick Ranch, Gainey Ranch or DC Ranch the drive is longer, but most customers find one visit is all it takes to decide.

Recovering close to world-class care

Scottsdale draws patients from around the country for treatment at the Mayo Clinic and at HonorHealth's Scottsdale Osborn and Scottsdale Shea medical centers. Many recover in a second home or a rental nearby. If you need a hi-low bed for weeks rather than years, ask about rentals on selected beds; if you are here for the long run, we will help you choose one to keep.

Homes designed down to the details

Whether it is a mid-century ranch near Old Town or a contemporary home in North Scottsdale, we will help you choose a bed, size and mattress that suit the room as well as the person sleeping in it.
